Lightbulb wiper relay

I've got a 1979 1303 "vert" equipped with a wisch-wasch screen scrappers. The relay that controls the interval wisch is gone crazy. The VW number on the relay is 111 955 531. I was wondering if it's possible to replace the original relay with one of a VW rabbit because the relay number for this car has the VW number 1HM 955 531 en it's a lot cheaper to come by. Help welcome.

Hi

Im pretty sure that if its 5 pin like the original it will work, I tried a 6 pin one from a Vanagon pn# 321 955 531A and it didnt work.

I think the golf/rabbit relay is the same as the T25, which both have rear wiper.

924 has the same switching as '79 T1, 'should' be the same relay. I can confirm this in the next few weeks, a customer has one.

Mega expensive new

Matt
