The wheels and car look great. I'm a little partial to the Cup 2's though.

Thanks, in all honesty, I'm jealous of your notch. That might be my next project or a bus.
I'm looking forward to the twist.

I have always wanted a notch, it's a bit more challenging then a type 1 build.

Well crap, I haven't been keeping up this build thread very well
So I got 6500 miles on my type 4 motor and still love it. I fabricated some GSXR ITB's and need to make some taller mani's with better injector placement, but other then that I am still in love with them. So the big brakes, and IRS swap are way back on the priority list, but the Twists should be going on as soon as I get my stock hubs studded. Here's some teaser pics: I recently setup a backyard foundry, ultimately I'm going to cast my own mani's. I'm learning first on simple things like this fuel pump bracket: |

The twists look right at home on your car. I dig.

Thanks HS, I heart them a lot. The wheel studs showed up, moday I'm dropping off the hubs to get studded, then the new shoes go on permanently.

F-me the axle nuts must have been torqued on there by the incredible hulk, but after wrestling with them for over an hour I was able to get my hubs to the local machinist to get studded.
I'm going to try a set of 40mm 06-07 gsxr TB's to see what the difference is in power and the vac signal. the 06-07's have a non-progressive pulley so I asked Devastator from STF if he could make one...turned out perfect! I still need to make the rails, and finish the rest of the modifications to the TB's. I'm still deciding if I'm going to try them on unmodified IDF mani's with bolt plates or clamp them down to the modified l jet endcastings. |
