Spa Francorchamp Bugshow 24/25 july 2010

There isn't a thread about this great meet and I think it fully deserves it as it usually offers all what germanlook tuning is all about.

Here's some pics my buddy Franc made as his car was 'in progress' at that moment

I'll definitely be making this show a priority as soon as I get the cabrio done! Is it annual or bi-annual?

Wally, thanks for sharing.. All I can say is wow..

Any info on the yellow with what looks like a shortened 911 motor with OHC?

Looks like he is using some sort of dzus fasteners on his wings for quick release?

Thats a type 1 case with 911 heads, not a shortenend 911

The more interesting one is the rare Holzapfel Overfly engine in the white car from Thomas Wöhr. I still think MartinB should have directed his efforts to re-surrect that engine instead of the attempts to create a thermally challenged 4-valve aircooled boxer engine from all new solid sand castings...
Look at the valve covers

Thomas' car kept up with the Race Taxi!

I agree!

With the engine from the racer of Stian Tekken:

Another billet type 4 head with T1 exhaust ports. I like the vent between the cylinders though.

But I rather have this  (Holzapfel Overfly motor)

The site is HUGE, and there were many, many more show quality cars I haven't shown (or seen myself)...

An idea of the 'camping site':
