Looks great -I like the stance you gave the car.However....I wouldn´t trust those blocks between axle and leaf springs.I would be afraid that they would move around during a hard launch or when the car gets squirly. Here in Germany they would pull the car off the road for that. What about the CMC cyclone suspension? That sits quite a bit lower than a normal S10 doesn´t it? Please don´t take it the wrong way,I´m not criticizing your work - just concerned about your safety, wouldn´t want you hitting the wall at the strip..
I love the amp though! |

Thanks, 70Turbobug! Not to worry. The drop blocks are solid aluminum blocks, not that extruded hollow stuff, and the u-bolts are heavy duty. A lot of the V8 S10 guys use these with no problems. The do recommend not going lower than a 2" drop to keep axle wrap at a minimum. These lowering blocks are u-bolts are very heavy duty. I doubt I'll ever have any problems.

Hi! Is the work on hold?
Personally never liked the V8 front engine Bugs but you managed to do a great work. Here in Puerto Rico there had been some V8 front engine bugs. Had you seen this? |

Sorry it's been a while on updates. I've just been spending time with our baby girl.
I recently started working on the bug again. I'm working on the wiring right now. I'll have a more detailed update once I get things sorted out. |

I bought them from Summit Racing, but I'm sure you can get them from many places. The brand name is AutoLoc. Style is snake eye with turn signal.

Well, it's getting there. I've been putting in some time lately. I fixed my starter issue and pulled her out for a much needed wash. I also fixed my tranny leak, hopefully. It was leaking around the speedo and the shifter linkage. I still need to add fluid to find out.
I finished the carpet and I'm almost finished wiring the car. I need to wiring up the tach, gauge lights, and install my brakes switch into the brake lines. Here are some overdue pictures. A better shot of the head lights with turn signals. The turn signals light up pretty good with the lights on. I took it for a night testing to see how the lighting does. Carpet installed, dash, gauges, seats bolted in, belts bolted in, and roll cage padding. Not a whole lot to do. Just minor things. I still need to put a good tune on it and extend the exhaust out the back. Then I'm going to drive the **** out of it. Haha |
