964 Carrera Rear Calipers on a Bug...

I am hoping to run a pair of 964 twin pot rear calipers on the back of my bug. However due to my unique (for a bug anyway) wheels having a pcd of 5 x 108 I can't use porsche hubs. The plan is to use a pair of Porsche 924 drums turned down and redrilled to 5x108 (cant redrill bug hubs to 5 x 108 as the holes clash!!) as hubs. Then over the top will be a pair of off-the-shelf 5 x 108 discs.

The problem is the handbrake...the porsche shoes wont fit into the new brake disc, so im a bit stuck for ideas. Apparently there is a UK kit car company that produces a kit which clamps two shims (situated behind the pads) together. However im worried that the anti-rattle shims will interfere with such a system.

Anyone done anything similar? If so, how did you sort the handbrake?

Thanks!!
