I need a chassis!
Hello everybody!
I want to finally start restoring my 69. The thing is, thats my only car that I drive. So Im thinking that if I were to restore a different chassis first, I could still drive my bug and "work on it" at the same time. My question though is do any of you know a good place to get used but in good condition chassis. I tried looking up Beetle Mex but I think that they are long gone. Any input at all would be greatly appreciated! Thanks Clint

You can have my '72 chasis. But you are in WA!
It is fairly stripped though. And needs a few places patched in the pans or new pans depending on what you want to do.

The mexican ones are still around. How good of a restoration do you want?
Here is a new chassis http://aircooled.net/new-bin/viewpro...EXP0025&cartid It will run you $900 not shipped. Whatever you decide make sure that the chassis you get will mount correctly to your body. Some chassis/body mixes end up with the rear shock mount falling short of the body. Mike |

Thanks for the link! But I need IRS suspension. I know there are kits out there that could convert swing axle to IRS but that more time and money involved then if I just had an irs pan.
