On the 2.9L type 4 he's using the FAT upright conversion...look at the rear decklid in the pics....Does this mean that you can use the FAT conversion (No machining) but just have to modify the decklid a bit ?

Whoops...just read through the site a little more and it says the decklid was modified ( fibreglass) to clear the shroud..... Seems cheaper than machining the case.

Comments ?

Your decklid would require less modification since the older ones are flatter than the new ones. You would have to cut it so that you can close the lid. A way of hiding it was to have the rear license plate light mounted higher so that you could not see the cut if I remember correctly.

Question

So it looks like you are saying it can be done.

I'm going to inquire about the kit and see what parts come with it. I really like the look of the 911 fan...just not keen on machining the case.
