Thank you

No progress on stereo/wiring in the last couple of days....I've been finalising the fuel lines up front including the filter. All -8 braided lines and AN fittings used....so there is a filter between tank and pump, then another after main line before the regulator to minimise clogged jets in the carbs.

Wiring slowly continues - hopefully will have the new optima D34 this week. Rear apron went on - slowly but surely it is getting closer!

I will hopefully upload some videos of it running when it is on the road!

I pretuned the dual 40 dells (with cb performance update kit and ceramic coated manifolds) before bolting them up.

After struggling with the limited access to manifolds nuts for an hour and a half, I finally got them into position! Slowly but surely its getting closer. Dizzy is wired up along with oil pressure and temperatue sender.

The beetle went off to the trimmer this morning to have the canvas ragtop fitted along with the headliner and carpets....so it will be gone for a couple of weeks.

The back seat was a bit fiddly to get back in with the rollcage in place but after about 20mins it got there!

Stopped by the trimmer today and took a few pics. The canvas ragtop was on - he seemed pretty happy with the quality (from wolfsburgwest) - only two slots for support bows were in the wrong spot.

Headliner is looking great as well - the vinyl was sent to Melbourne to be perforated to look the goods.

Car is home again - here are a few pics of the beetle - home once again.
The canvas ragtop turned out very well:

The trimmer did a great job on the headliner - its supposed to sag a little as there needs to be enough slack for when the top is open:

Aerial view...

Didn't have a huge choice in carpets but it turned out pretty well:
