Best way to swap from Thing output flanges & 944 driveshafts to stock??

Hi,

I want to change my built IRS transmission in my 62 split van for a stock IRS transmission. The van has been IRS'd with 944 trailing arms and runs 944 disks, 944 driveshafts and the gearbox has Thing output flanges. I'd like to keep the Thing output flanges in the gearbox and not transfer them to the stock IRS box that I am going to fit, and if I can remove the 944 driveshafts and fit stock VW IRS items instead that would be great.

So I need some advice about what routes I can take to do this.

I think one option is using a 944 or bus (is the bus item right?) CV at the the trailing arm end of the driveshaft, but I think that this CV is too wide to fit onto the stock driveshaft before the ridge (can't think of the name at the moment) on the driveshaft. Is that correct? I'm guessing I can't use a stock VW CV at the trailing arm end of the driveshaft or can I?

BTW the bus is lowered with the top of teh rim (16" 928 rims) just obsucred by the arch.

Thanks!
