Thinking Nitrous
Hi guys,
has anyone used nitrous on a daily driven T1 engine, or know the results of the usage of such performance enhacer? Im thinking about a small install about 50 or extremely 75 hp and a full throtle activate system with a switch to arm the trigger, but to prevent activation on 1st and 2nd gear even 3rd. Im thinking of nitrous because it can be activated and therefore push the engine to the limit only when you want, something that can't be done when running turbochargers or superchargers. thanx Chris (beetle1303) |

i'm not for it..
Hi, i've got a friend who as a 1200 from 67 powered with a 2110cc type one with nitrous.. but he never realy used it on the road.... I think that more dangerous to keep control on road with nitrous on.. better have good brakes to stop the car at the second red light 50 meters behind the first one... aswell nitrous is rather a small "cancer" for engines... engine with nitrous dont last too long..
good luck. david

If you use forged pistons, and 041 heads with dual dells and a good cam, you can run a 50 shot. Nitrous has a lot of myths and B.S. surrounding it. Do not be discouraged. It does not cause any extra wear, or make engine life shorter. As long as you don't lean out or detonate, your engine will freak people out with acceleration. Pop wheelies
