T1 flywheel with 915 ?

Ive heard that when mating a type 1 engine to a 915 tranny you can still use the type 1 flywheel as well as the clutch as long as you use a 915 starter and throw out bearing as well as the 914 fork. Has anyone ever done this? How do you make the 915 able to use a 914 fork?

thanks alot

I'm running a Massive T4 with a 915, and have to use a special flywheel, disc, and PP. I think with the T1 tranny you would need at the least, a clutch disc with a custom hub to work with the porsche input spline pattern. Kennedy makes disc's that will work for this. Bug@5speed should be able to help with the T1 motor to 915 though.
