Angry Bump steer bushes and 944 calipers

I am in the process of fitting the 944 brakes to my 66 bug ,has anyone had the problem of the track rod end being too close to the flexi pipe after fitting the bump steer bushes to turn the rod end upside down.I thought about a banjo fitting but i am wooried about these coming undone .I am also contemplating taking 4mm from the steering arm as the bush has added 2mm and i can spare another 2 mm as i used big taper steering arms but have small taper rods ends and bushes.
Someone must have had this problem ,What did you do?

Thanks
