Fender Flare Options
Alright, so this is a topic that I don't think I have ever seen discussed here. Has anyone here built homemade flares that could be smoothed into their fenders? Or even used some bolt on flares meant for another car. If so, can we see some info and some pics?
I just don't want to do just stock-style widened fenders and can't afford to get cup fenders in the states.

I have Kafer Cup style fenders on my 71 SB, but here is what another member (ricola) did. I may try this on my 72 Cabrio,

Ive seen alot of people that have done that, but I just think I want something with a little more flare, in both senses of the word.. I might just try renting a fender rolling tool..

I wouldnt think an arch roller would work. The beauty of Ricola's is that the wings look stock to the untrained eye.

Yeah, they came out awesome! But I think (probably after Im done moving next week) that I am going to start building some fiberglass flares with this kind of shape to them:
http://www.themotorreport.com.au/666...roit-auto-show I like the flared out style and the flat edge.. Well see how they turn out..

I agree, its hard to describe what I'm thinking, I'll post up some pictures once I'm able to go out and work on it. We're in the middle of moving and the bug is buried in boxes..
