Which heads are best
I have two sets of 2 ltr heads one set of a bus and the other pair off a '83 vanagon which pair would be best to have over hauled, neither are cracked etc. they all require guides seats etc, but they will be changed for bigger items any way. which ones flow the best etc. thanks for any help.

between the two I hear the square ports flow better is set up right (larger valves, Port & Polish, etc)

Maybe the squareports do flow better stock, but exept for Remmele (major $$), I don't know any one that makes a decent exhaust for it. No decent exhaust is a waste of big valves and porting work imo.
Also look at the wall thickness of the inlet and exhaust port in the head. Important for strength when your head specialist ports the heads. There are quite a lot of differences there in standard heads as I found out. Walter |

Our Tangerine racing header can be ordered with a square port stub tube...
