I got this link from a friend sometime ago, and I think it got posted here just before the server wend down.
It's amazing what these guys have done! Shell is from a 1303, floorpan, running gear, engine, all the works from a Boxter. Enjoy: www.bugster.at

I saw this link a few months back. By far one of the cleanest conversions I've seen.

Now that is an engineering masterpiece and has to be insanely fun to drive. Hate to see the price tag though. Maybe one of these days I will have those kind of play funds.

Very nice. If the Boxter drivetrain will go in it, the 997 drivetrain should fit too.

Damn, that's impressive all around. There's a lot of time and money in that car and it shows. If you didn't know any better you'd think it came from the factory that way. That's the sign of a truely fantastic build.

Interior, exterior, just amazing. Looking factory, absolutely right. It has a purposeful look even in the night shots. I have looked at those pics twice thoroughly. Now, I want to see it in person.

Awesome!!! This has been my hidden idea for awhile now, but with the cost of 2 donor cars and all the work, I have a few years before I start on it. I had already measured the track and wheelbase and figured out it would work, but to see it actually does work is just awesome. I'm going to do mine with an old school body though, not a super. What can you do to Boxter S motors to get more power reliably? It actually seems a little slow for 270hp, thought it would be under the 5 second range. Thanks for the link!!!!

996 engine swaps into boxsters are common enough if you want more power... Bugster people even offer that...

I was just getting ready to upgrade my pan on my 68 beetle to a 72-74. Maybe I should reconsider.

Maybe because it actually gets driven instead of parked.
