Machine shop ?

Hey Guys,

I need to figure out if I can get my crank and flywheel machined for oversized dowelpins.

Anybody know of a VW knowledgeable machine shop ?

I'm also wondering if this can be done with the crank still in the block.....otherwise I might as well look for another engine.....

Rob.

Cool

Rob,

Come by and pick up my 1600cc shortblock .. its got a good crank in it and its FREE if you can pick it up !!!

Jamie had his T4 machined in Brampton but can't remember the name of the shop off hand. I think they do the machine work for Mantis Racing in Oakville.

Sandeep,

Sounds good, I can slap it back together using the same parts, and maybe still drive through the summer.

Thanks man, shoot me an email when I can drop by, you are a live saver.

Hey Rob,
The machine shop that did all my work was Motex Automoitve, in Etobicoke. The owner/operator is Bill Thorne. They specialize in heads but have all the tooling, and really know AC VW engines. You could reach Bill @416.236.3194
Hope this helps if you're still in the market for a machine shop.
Cheers,
Dave
