It's a lot of work. http://www.germanlook.com/Forums/sho...?t=7050&page=8 Your car looks nice. I love the look of Cup 2's on a Ghia.

I can't wait to see how you do the rest of the car. I had actually seen the pictures of your gauge setup while searching around for pic's of guages. The whole thing makes me want metal working skills. Quick get back to work on it so I can see how it comes out. |

... unless you are thinking of going with hubcentric adapters. Going from a Porsche to something else back to a Porsche would be most unusual. Getting both to be hubcentric and equal to only 10mm would be miraculous. |

You could buy the 14's and mill, or turn them down to 10mm. Anyone with a Mill, or lathe can do this (I have both ). 4mm is not that much to "shave off".

That sounds very sensible to me, too.

Oasis: I asked about the hubcentric spacers because I have found 5mm spacers but don't know if they are hubcentric or not. |

You can take stock 944 rear spacers (about 22mm or so) and machine them down to about 10mm (I believe) and still keep them hubcentric. I have to check my notes on how thin you can get them, but this is what I did on the bus to fit the 17x9's.

EDIT: Looks like cb performance has spacers, although a little smaller than what I was looking for but they might just work. So I'm going to try those out. Last edited by freekazoid; January 22nd 2007 at 20:49. |

We got the cb spacers on. Had to shave a little off the rear axle bolt/nut and might have to cut a little bit off the end of the speedo cable and/or shave a little off the back of the center cap. But other than that everything fits. There is a surprising amount of space for the back tires, not a lot but decent. I'll have to get some detail pic's.
