Kerscher rotor, 15 inch wheels.. what caliper?

hello guys,

i want to keep 15 inch wheels on my bug, pref vw 4 stud pattern.
im doing a rear disk conversion using a 914 disk and golf rear caliper, but wanted to upgrade my fronts at the same time.

ideally i wanted to use the kerscher disk (to keep the vw pattern) with vw disk, or vw drum spindles. i have both to choose from, both ball joint.

the question is, what caliper choices do i have to keep 15" wheels? i have heard of people using a rear caliper on the front? would a 944 turbo (4 piston?) rear caliper work ok with the kerscher disk on the front, and would 15" wheels be likely to fit?

other calipers iv thought about using are:
early 944 fronts, a golf front caliper, 933 rear caliper, a stock vw caliper spaced out, or aftermarket wilwood..

any opinions?
regards,
mabbo
