Balljoint beam thru rods?

Hello all,

Why do coil-over users go with thru rods in the front beam vs leaving the torsions in place and just removing the grub screw?

They are still locked in place even with no grub screw

The leaves just 'add' to the spring rate then correct?

correct, the section that the leaves sit in is fixed
