preview:18" BBS Le Mans on a standard bug

Couldn't find my old thread so here's a pic of my 18" BBS Le Mans wheels on my 72 bug.
specs are
front: 18x8.5 with 225/35/18 tyres, ET 56 31mm spacers and 4cm wider fenders

rear: 18x10 with 265/35/18 tyres, ET 50 35mm spacers and 7cm wider fenders

Polished the wheels myself and in between the spokes I've painted them black metallic.

Looks great. What size tyres are you using?

Very nice look. The wheels are classic, IMHO the best BBS out there.

hehe, great minds think alike... just kidding

These wheels cost a pretty penny but they were my absolute favorite wheels for this car, sportive, classic and light weight.

Looks very well Tom!
I did almost the same thing, but used smaller width ones: 7,5Jx18 front and 9Jx18 rear. Tires are also 225/35

Nice setup there Wally, have admired your photo a few times already
What type are yours, are they original GT3 rims?

I bought mine used from a German (was about a 300km drive there and back but a big price difference, these cost an arm and a leg over here), he had them on his Porsche GT3 circuit racer but was selling everything.

Thanks Tom; no, not GT3; these are called Sport-ClassicII and in these smaller widths (..) were an option on Boxsters only. Bl**dy difficult to find I found out, but finally located these in germany as well
Former owner did the paint job of the center and the polishing of the outer rims.

Car still has no motor or box in it tho

some good news, spacers should arrive the coming week so it'll be time to swap chassis and put the Le Mans wheels on
