frame dimension chart
I found this vintage frame dimension chart on eBay, see attachment for sample pic, and the auction is over now. When I get it in the mail we'll have this valuable resource for us all. I'll have the Super chart on my site and when I scan it I'll get a copy to Mike Ghia so he will have the Standard Beetle on his site, and of course we'll have both on this site. This will come in EXTREMELY handy for those that have chassis damage or want to custom make their own chassis. I am posting a notice now so those that who have current projects will know before hand.

That is pretty neat. I didn't think they existed. It will be a valuable resource.

I got them and made a scan today. Mike Ghia I need you to email me so I can send you a copy. All others can find them on this site because I'll get them uploaded to the gallery.
The Super Beetle one is already uploaded to my site on the tech page in the body section. www.superbeetlesonly.com |

Does your chart(s) apply to the Ghia?

To be totally honest I have no idea. My knowledge is solely on the 71-79 1302/1303 Super Beetle.
I *think* that the Ghia has the same pan dimensions as the 181/Thing/Trekker/Kubelwagen but get a second opinion and if so then no it doesn't apply. Sandeep, can you forward the Standard Bug one to Mike Ghia please. |
