New build/resto

Long time ago (1995) I owned this car and it was already purple then...
but it was a '75 with a sunroof and I upgraded her to disk fromt brakes and some Golf GTI (series1) seats.
Last week the owner who parked it outside for the last years, asked if I wanted the car back. He was sorry for the neglect, but I could not resist, even though its very, very rotten.
Still, I'll want to try and save it. Long term project so to speak haha!

How crazy do you guys think I am towing this home? LOL!

WUT? That's going to be a lot of work....
But respect if you manage it. The mythbuster was taken apart to the very last bit, so the experience is plenty.
Any future plans already?

That won't look nearly as bad after a good wash. Another R&P car in the stable is a great place to start. Can't wait to see the direction you choose to go with on this one.

Good memory Wouter!

But yeah, new floorboard, front subframe, sills, basically almost an entire body has to be recreated probably.
I have/had no other plans, other then that it would be great to have an extra set of wheel to mount the yearly 1200 Challenge engine into. Now, I need to take the 1200 engine out every year and replace it with the type 4...

Since you mention it, I have looked into colours already (as if it was already needed to make a choice haha), but I like a '75 1303 one year only colour: L61H Lofotengrün. Much better then purple and better then the very common L96B (light blue metallic) it was originally.

For now lots of other projects to finish first ;-)

Definitely a little, if not a little bit more :P

Hope you'll be able to make something nice out of it again!
