Porsche 944 or 928 spindles

I read in one of the forums they were interchangeable with the superbeetles, but can they work on a standard 72 bug?If they can, will they work with the stock drums with the 4-130 bolt pattern?I know they make 2.5" drop spindles but im told they wont clear my front 13x5.5" wheels. And I was told that just running and adjustable beam an lowering it the full 4" is unsafe.
If needed, I'm planning on either running a 175/60/13 or a 175/70/13 up front.
the 175/60/13 is 21.3" tall in height
the 175/70/13 is 22.7" tall in height.
The reason for lowering 4" unless i dont need to lower it that much to get a 1" gap between the fender lip and tire.
Thanks for any info.

Hi

They only work on super beetles because they use struts, your car doesn't have struts.

Its your decision, but why would want to run 13 inch wheels?

I wanted wider versions of my current wheels and found a set just like mine but different sizes.13x5.5 and 14x7".

944NA brakes do clear 14" wheel, but I don't think they will fit under 13's....
