Remote Oil filter mount
I have not found a unit I liked as yeat . I was hoping steel with a built in vw bypass valve. I even have concidered aircraft units or having one made.
I am determeded to have one with a built in bypass I will go as high as $200. for a first quality remote plate I know that aircraft units are more than that, This needs to be a good one

new question? how good is the amsoil twin filter unit it uses a primary and backup releif filter that is plumbed back to the case
Seems to me it should have been plumbed back into the the oil galley return line. to help maintain oil pressure.

ive got a VERY simple and very cheap setup that works perfectly.. a regular scat mount, but fitted with a genuine VW golf TDI filter.
those tdi's see cold oil pressures as high as 150psi without bursting as the filter is heavy canned and has a built in relief valve.. works for me.. depends on your setup though i guess.. |

Thank you Bren. I did settle on a filter mountwith a bypass From the air cooled net parts house. But if it is not to pricey. I will use the golf/rabbit desiel filter.
