I went up to the top of this page - to the search - and typed in

1303 944 brakes

just like that........and got 3 pages of hits.

Just as an experiment.

Here are the posts, from a search in the brakes forum, that you should read. There is lots of information and I think the reason that you haven't found the exact list is because there are several ways to do this conversion and you'll have to make your personal choice.

If this is just for the rear it is so easy it will make you cry.

Get 944 rear brakes from swing plate out (you need the caliper mounting bracket outward). Install on IRS arm. Done.

The only issue that should arrise is how to deal with the emergency brake cables. Since I have not done a Super you have to search on that one.

FWIW you should buy a cheap POS Haynes 944 manual to get an odea of how the brake system works. They are cheap... In all ways.

It is easier than you think. Do it. Do it. Do it.

It is the exact same as the Standard (IRS) Bug.

Why the dealer? It's going to be aweful expensive! Used is the way to go.

I agree with Superman, go used on every part you can.

I think I bought a rear setup for $50 in poor condition. Then rebuilt the calipers, turned (resurfaced) the rotors and cleaned them, new e-brake shoes, and put on new pads. And a few misc gaskets and retaining pins.

On-line I like to use Pelican Parts as they are always easy to deal with. Never had a delay or wrong part issue.

Good Luck,

agreed on used parts. why are you looking to the dealer? location and availability of used parts? you will see about 4x the pricing from a dealer.

regarding the parts list. i went through the same thing and like super said, there are soooo many options and variables across different models that there is no one parts list to document. and no one has spent the time to compile a matrix. may not be a bad idea for some one though. i will start a separate thread to see if people want to throw in.
