924 brakes???
The idea of putting bigger brakes to your 67 is ok, but don't use such old 'n small brakes. The discs are only slighly larger and not vented, the caliper is not the best. Even if it's for free, it's not worth building a conversation spindle mount for these brakes.
It makes more sense to use just Type 3 calipers with 42mm pistons and use some drilled discs with 5x130 bolt circle. Btw, the 924 old brake is original Audi!

will type III calipers fit in place of the original type I calipers. I am currently using the CB Perf cast dropped spindles.

Type 3 brakes
The calipers from a 66-71 Type 3 would fit perfectly with their 42mm pistons! Same bolt pattern!
Other idea: Find spindles from the Brasilian Puma and use old 911 2-piston calipers, those units are huge. On the same spindle with the Puma bolt pattern will also fit a 411/412 or a late Type 3 caliper, also big units!
