Engine case question

Hello has anybody open up this passage in the case. Its a quite small hole and a it would be a benefit to use the hole volume of the case. This litte would act like an orifice if the pump needed oil and it would be much better circulation in the case.
If it get stucked for some reason the oil would reach to the bottom of cylinder 3 befor it flood over to the main gallery of the case.

I see no real advantage to doing this. The hole is there for the cam gears to get oil from volume in bottom of case. If you open the hole up, you would have too much oil on the gears, more drag= less HP...
