shipping suggestions

I'll be shipping my stuff out to Lanner @ VDC in the future and was wondering how should I ship the stuff out there? I'm in California, a ways from Canada. So I know it probably won't be to cheap, but was also concerned because it is going to be some what of a heavy package. I'm having Lanner make me some billet hubs for some RX7 brakes. The caliper is pretty light but the rotor isn't, plus I need to ship the drop spindle.

Figured I might be able to ship them seperate, maybe two lighter packages is cheaper than one heavy one.

So who should I use UPS? FedEX? USPS?

Other tips? insurance? What are brokerage charges?

it should be cheaper to ship all at once! i'd get all your stuff weighed first and then start shopping for prices! all those are good shipping providers! it's just a matter of how much they charge! try looking into that new DHL (yellow truck) shipping company! i've seen alot of those trucks lately and less UPS trucks, which leads me to belive that they are cheapest right now! later and good luck!

Don't ship via courier unless you want $80 brokerage charges. BDDT
The USPS is the way to go. As long as it isn't too heavy.

I shipped my 944 hubs, balljoint spindles and a rotor to lanner and the package weighrd just under 40lbs. I paid $56 for 1 week air shipping but that was a while ago and fuel prices have driven up the price of shipping. The brokerage charge is basicly the fee the recieving country charges to get the package into the country. I think I paid an extra $28 once the package got to Canada. The plus side is that I wasn't charged the brokerage charge when the parts were on their way home to me. And you pay the return shipping charges in Canadan dollars so it isn't really that bad. I used USPS...
