good handling bug
i'm in the process of restoring a 74 super beetle. in the german look stlye. i'm only 16, but have been in the hobby for years with my dad. its in paint right now, and when it gets back i want to just full blwon tackle the suspension to turn it into an amazingly fun, good handling car. one that will take all i can throw at it. there is only a 1776 in the back, and for now thats what i'm going to keep. i know that isn't too extreme, buti want to build the suspension so that i can drive it balls to the wall all the time. you guys tell me what i should upgrade, replace etc. thanks -nick

what's your bidget like? this can go many directions, but knowing your budget will allow for more precise recommendations.

How your car behaves/responds to the way you want to drive it, is where the good GL time and money is best spent.
Your '03 has the same handling potential that inspires us all. 'Taking longer, spending more' can make all the difference. Have exactly what you want. Matt

To start, make sure your front end-balljoints, tierods, bushings, etc., etc.-are all in working order. If you haven't already, check out www.toplineparts.com. Awesome people when it comes to superbeetles. At the same time they have great products to start with. Strut tower brace, oversized sway bars and new struts is where you might want to start. Good luck!! :agree:
