Body reparing help!!

Hello

My soon to be german looker had a lot of rust and damage to the front end of it before I decided to repair it. What I did was to cut off the fron section and replace it with one of those front clips that you can get from pretty much any vw store. I can put it back together fine its just that the hood doesnt want to lay down properly. Its kinda getting pushed up in the center. Ive tried to pull the front clip out a little more but it still is bent in the center. Has anybody else ever had this problem? I hope this isnt a sign of frame damage because I have no measurements to get that hunk of steel back straight!
