hesitation starting?
Some times after i run my vw for a while like 40 miles or bout an hour when i stop it has a hesitation to start but if i give it a little gas then turn it over like 4 times, then let it sit for bout 10 seconds and crank it for bout 5-10 seconds it will start, its just kinda embarising conciderin how much i like it and people check it out, but it just will not start kinda makes me wonder if my starter is goin out or what? Thanks for any help.

Although I don't know exactly what you should be checking here, it sounds like your starter is just fine. If the engine is turning over and at a reasonable speed, the starter is doing it's job.
Maybe check into things like your spark plugs and the rest of the ignition system. Fuel problem maybe? What kind and size of engine are you running?

I've been having a similar problem since I put on my dual carbs. I don't know if the two are related but it seems that when it's cold it starts just fine. The problem is once it warms up, if I have to turn it off for some reason (to run in to the store or something), I have to crank it for a few second (3-5 maybe?) to get it to fire. I was thinking vapor lock maybe?? What carb(s) are you running?
