Nice SB vert. Welcome to the GL world. I would start with a "wish list" of parts overall. Getting a game plan together now can save $$$ later. Personally, I would start with safety items first (brakes, fuel system lines, gas tank, and suspension) fixing what is needed. Wheels are a big part of the "Germanlook". So, early on you want to pick your wheels. This will help with brake, suspension, and fender choices all working together. This is just a few ideas to get your mind going in the right direction. There is alot to see here so, get busy!

thanks alot wrenchn right now i have empi eight spokes. i know the reason being is that they were on my best friends beetle before he passed away in iraq. so i would want to rock these for a while. and then maybe get some bigger rims later. but a few questions i have is whats the widest tires i can use on these for now untill i can get new rims. and how low can i go with the car?

Nice vert

I also have one, a 78, that was put on hold due to a sedan project..

If there is one to model off, that was tasteful, its by a member phat73 or something..

Its a red vert with black top, nice example..

ok thanks i will see if i can see if i can find them. im just a bit concered about the weight because it is a vert and the extra bracing. and the power to weight factor. i mean i can take stuff out of the car to make it lighter but i dont know what the weight of a sedan and the vert are.
