My newest project...

Alright well I got a little away from the GL look with my previous project, the reason being was my daily was totalled and I need a driver ASAP. I like the car and all, but am not happy with handeling...or speed. 1600 DP Here it is as it rides now.

So that being said. I am off to start a new project and have a few questions! (as always)

I like the curved windowed supers and am lucky enough to be recieving a rust free body for FREE...in FL that is hard to come by. I have a perfect pan that has been re-panned and painted. So onto the plans...

Brakes...
944 N/A Fronts and Rears
(only downside is cost of new struts and rims)

Suspension...
Currently on my car a versa-struts setup with sport springs from topline
(wont work with 944 brakes...3 bolt )

Engine...
Stock 914 2.0 (aquired)
(want to go bigger...but cost of machining heads is holding me back)
Weber 44's (aquired)
DTM Cooling...already aquired
Hopefully a 5 speed tranny, just havent decided on what would be best...and easiest for the 914 engine.

Interior...
Ummm-none lol, seats stearing wheel and dash. That is how I roll now...and I like it! Im fat...interior just makes my car weigh more

Exterior...
Dechromed
Wide CCC fenders (already aquired)
Maybe bumpers with turn signals and a kamei spoiler
Fat rims...dont know what yet...depends on brakes and lugs

So any sugestions...

And I have a couple Questions...

Is there other options to brakes?
I have disks on my topline struts now. And rear drums. Do I need more stopping power for a 2.0?
I love to go fast, but its better to be able to stop!

I want the widest track possible... can I do 944 rear brakes/aluminum trailing arm with a different lug pattern than porsche?

I have a set of Falken Hanabi rims that are 17x7's and only weigh something like 11 pouds each. They are a 5x100 lug pattern. How could I make these work?

I know lot of questions and probably more to come. All help and suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
ERIK

Hey Gus,

I've got the early 944 aluminum trailing arms and 944 brakes and torsion bars for sale if you're interested.

PM me.
