I rest my tools.....

My 1302GT racer is finaly ready!
What a happy feeling to take it for a spinn for the very first time.
Im still on only 0,7 bar turbo pressure but its flying! what wil happen when it reaches 1 bar!? time wil show...

Very Nice project..

Can you tell us about your roll cage, I like the way its integrated into the front strut towers..

Also is the whale tale a custom rear lid? Did it come from Australia, or did you combine a porsche lid and a VW to make this?

De chromed

Fully welded (all body joints)
New all standar rust parts.
Audi A6 doorhandles
Hidden door hinges
Fibegrlass hood and side wings 5+9 cm wider
Alu instrument cluster
Alu inner doorskins+rear
Alu mirror+doorknobs
Replaced inner rear wings with alu frame
Porsche wing with IC(original rear lid, fiberglass wing and Porsche rubber trim.
Flush sidemarkers front
Flush diode sidmarkers on mirrors
Hidden 3rd brakelight under rear window
"Clear" front and rear headlights
Radiator front mounted
Hand shaped ait intake in front apron
Hand shaped ss trim over exhaust
Custom air intake on C-pilars (self made)((yes i have the mould))
Rollcage is home made from prebendt seemless low carbon steel. after FIA regulations. 10 anchor points including front struts. Welded and bolted to body.
Seats and seatbelts from Sabelt. FIA approved.
Much more wich i cant remember

Suspension:
Self constructed unibal rear arms
Cup stag
19mm rear stabilizer
Gaz rear coilovers adjustable. 500lbs springs
Lowering springs front. yellow koni shorter than std.
Double front stabilizer
All urethane bushes where not unibal
Koni adj steering damper. (custom fitted)
Kercher brake kit with rear discs and Porshe boxter front
Cross drilled and sliced brake discs (center vented)
Porsche Cup2 wheels 7+9" (original porshe)
205/50/17 and 245/40/17
Titan wheel bolts.
All hardware is Aircraft standar NAS.

Engine:

Subaru EJ20 Turbo IC 16V Quad cam
Samco air hoses
Saab 9000 IC
Opel omega3000 radiator and fuel pump
Custom alu swirvl tank mounted under original.
Boost 12 psi
Custom SS exhaust system 2,5"
5Zigen mufflers

Trans:
Original Singel cover
Splined gears
Welded 3+4 gear
All trics in the book performed.
Yes it wil break!
Mounted 2" forward,


Much more wich a cant remember and dont want to.
Build time: 4 years and angry wife.

Well, you can name more or less mods if you want/dont want to..., it still is a sweet car you have there! Congrats! I love some of the ideas that I might just 'use'

Added more pics to my albums.
Car has run 150km now and its time to jack it up and do a torque check to all bolts and nuts. and tighten wheelbearings.
Current top speed:170kmh.and still accel.hard! then it got to scary and i braked.

Scary? Narrow norwegian backroad getting smaller an narrower as speed increases....

High speed handling= going straight as a lazerbeam.

About three weeks after posting this I found out my engine was running on 3 cyl.
Can you imagine the insane power boost when i replaced one faulty coil??




Had it on a dyno test bed recently and it delivered 244Hp and 315Nm at the rear wheels!!!!! :agree:

I just cant belive how the gearbox stil holds.
