Thumbs up where to place the oilcooler

I've got a 1303 1979 convertible. I want to mount a front oilcooler to my "vert" behind the front nose of my bug because this panel has already the cut outs for the original airconditining.
Is there a way to get the cooler above the strengtening panel that is under the front nose? Help welcome.

Do a search for Porsche 914-6 front oil cooler. And check out how they mounted it. It's in a similar location with some simple ducting to direct airflow.

Hope this helps.

Or you could mount a cooler next to the trans vertically. Good spot for airflow, protected from 'minor' collision damage and won't take up valuable space up front.
