well progress has been slow the past couple of weeks , engine is sweet , i have altered the camber to 1.5 degrees negative on the back it was 3 when i first put the arms on drilled the deck lid and put the number plate on 1'' standoffs to get some air to the fan and fitted the seats and new rear panels with the new speakers , if the weather dries up i will be able to cut the carpet and glue it down this week , if not the fenders are back on friday so sould have them fitted , made some handles for the doors and the rear bench and handbrake cover and door pins out of alloy at work this week (to much spare time ) lol
till next time

That shifter is crazy! Where did that come from? Looking awesome.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think they are sequential shifters, just sequential style being so high...

Looks liek Bernie has started selling them now, must have passed his testing!

yes rich you are correct , they are semi sequential , on the way up you put in first knock it down for second but when you knock it forward for 3 rd the spring mech shifts accross the gate for you making a very fast short shift , go down the box as normal , these have hardly any travel on the shifts so are very quick
cheers

Not taking anything away form that shifter as it is very nice, but my understanding is:

sequential: clutchless/gateless changes, just push the lever back or forwards to change up/down

semi-sequential: as above but you have to use the clutch.

The GWD is just a high quality, short throw, sprung shifter..

I apologize in advance if I am being daft here ... but ...

Did you use LEDs in your stock speedo? Did you use LEDs in all of your auxiliary gauges?

I have been contemplating on what I would like to do for gauges in my car. It seems the gauges I like do not offer a CHT gauge; the models that include a CHT seem to be as dull as my stock 1302 speedo.

I have seen the custom gauge clusters posted several months ago on this site and I like them. I am just looking for alternative ideas.

oasis , i eventually am going to put my 914 guages in but could not face butchering my dash at the moment , so i bought some led's from a local maplin electronics shop , you want wide 50 degree diffuse 5 or 8mm leds , it is simple to work out the resistor loading , i put an extra two in the speedo ,it looks fab in the dark
cheers jon
