Holy Fuchs!!

Hahaha, had to think of a good subject tittle....

Anywho,

I'd like to know where to get different sized fuchs wheels, I already have 16x6 (I think) its what came on my 70 when I bought it. The tire sizes are 175s and 185s, but i'd like to go alot wider in the rear, both for looks and for grip. I'm setting it up to be an auto crosser/show car, and I LOVE the way these wheels look, just haven't seen any pix of bugs, or any car with the WIDE ones, with 205+ tire diam, so if you have a pic, PLEASE post it!

Thanx a mil
-Mike

here's shameless plug:

porsche fuch replica rims, just refinished, lip and spoke face are polished, black paint on inside. center caps included.
(2) 15x7 195/45/15 yokohama AVS's (new, went around the block!)
(2) 15x8 205/60/15 yokohama AVS's? (95%left) i also have a second pair of these tires that i'll throw in! (70% tread)

the 205's are really a strech on the 8" rims. you could easily put 215/225's on there. could go wider on the front too.

will sell with or without tires.
had these under stock fenders (72 super). there are a couple pics on the webpage below.
one of the front rims has a small scratch/groove from me not clearancing the bottom ball joint bolt enough (going around the block).

2 disks studded for 911 pattern
2 rear COMPLETE type 3 drum brakes studded for 911, just bolt on with included backing plates
rear's are new (wheel cylinder, pads, drums, hub)

selling because i went with 4 wheel disc's and 17's.

pics:

where are you from? i might go to the north/south shootout in NC on the 25th. so i might be able to deliver. in NY.

make me a offer,

thanks,
pete

15's would be better for autocrossing. less weight.

Yeah fuchs wheels rule. In this picture I have 15X6 replicas with 195/50 and real 15X7 with 205/50 in the rear. I have a set of real 15X8 that I am refinishing. I have one wheel done, that silver paint is impossible to remove.
So I am going to put the 195/50's on the 15X7 and the 205/50's on the 15X8. It should look way better and I can get rid of those heavy cast fake fuchs. And I hope it will handle better and be more responsive.

How much do the real and fake wheels weigh. What's the weight difference??? I have a set of 18" turbo twists and they weigh about 200 lbs. with tires.
