CV joint cooling, idea maybe?
Hi
I'm using 930 CVs on my bug. They will be running at around about 15 degrees. I'm using 944 alloy arms so the outer CVs will be buried in the 944 housings. I'm thinking that they could get a bit hot and I had an idea. What if I made a fan to fit to the CV bolts so that air would circulate around the CV as the car moved or am I being paranoid? Steve

You need to be exposed to fewer chemicals!
I guarantee the Porsche Turbo cars put more heat and stress into that setup than you will, so if it puts up with them, it'll put up with you. Relax... there's so many other things to worry about |

you'll be fine man, if you wont sleep at night, you can get "lightened" 930s for offroad applications, these are essentially a finned cv. i think bugpack has them

Hi
Thanks for the replies, I guess those drugs from the 70s do have an effect. Steve
