Exclamation car wont start!!

so i was coming off the highway and came to a stop at the light and i noticed the car wasn't on anymore! i turned the key back and then tried to start it again and NOTHING! it's not even trying to start! i think it may be a connection to the starter or the starter itself! anyone agree , dissagree!??? any help would be appreciated! thanks in advance!

Take the car out of gear and turn the engine over with a wrench on the pulley nut to make sure it will turn free. Then check the battery voltage ( should be 13-14 VDC, also check the voltage drop when you try to crank it. If the voltage drops below 8 volts at the battery when you try to crank it, I wold suspect the battery a big voltage drop at the starter would indicate a bad cable or starter. If you have no voltage drop and no starter spin check the cable to the starter(big bolt on wire) and the triger voltage to the solenoid (smaller push on wire).
Check that out and let us know what you find.

I would look at all the connections first, don't spend money that you don't need to.
