carbon headlamp surrounds and turn signal covers

ive spoken to joe about some parts i want for my bug and thought id also post on here to see if others would want the same parts on their rides.. im after H4 (late style) single screw headlamp surrounds... would look rad on a late 'looker IMO.. im also after some euro spec turn signal covers in c/f .. the wingtop kind (fender top!)

so who else would want them? the more interest, the more chance of having them made!!

Hmmm some lamp rings for the pre 67 and later style headlights would be cool.

Great idea.

I will take a set of the early style headlight rings if they will be available for sure.

Joe.....would you need originals to make a mold for that?

I'd be interested in both the wing-top indicator housing and the headlamp surround - good idea!

Question

How well does carbon fiber hold up to the outside elements? I mean does it crack or discolor from being in the sun? Is it affected by salt air or humidity?

hell yeah! stone guards for the rear "fenders" would be way cool too!! thats a 'must-have' on my bug!! FYI the remmele cars you see dont actually have stick on stone guards, they just leave that section of the carbon "fenders" unpainted...

Exclamation

OK I'll do them, this weekend I'll get the parts together and start working on the molds. This the type of response I need if people want me to make special parts, if I know more then three or four people want something made I'll make it. A set would look nice on my car to, also stone guards are in the works.
Thanks,

Wink

69_Dreamz,
Carbon fiber holds very well to the elements if it's made right, I use a UV resistant resin in my parts. Once the parts are cured water, salt, oil or just about any other chemical will not harm the part.
