Question rear coil overs

Alex

Can't wait to see how the project turns out. I have several questions about the rear suspension:

Are you using aluminum semi trailing arms with coil overs? How did you handle the bottom shock mount? Are you worried about the strength of the aluminum at this mount? What are you using to replace the spring plates?

thanks
Scott

Yes I am using the 944 Turbo aluminum trailing arms. I am not worried about the bottom shock mount. You were also able to get 944 coilover kits so I am sure the trailing will be fine. The major concern is the top shcok mount with coilovers and bugs. That is one reason for using the Cup brace and adding the 2 extra braces. The other of course is to eliminate wheel hop.
I am using Remmele Uniball springplate. You can see a pic of them in the Suspension Gallery. The torsion bars are removed.

Hope that helps,
Alex
