G50 in 1956 oval bug

Hey there,

I come from Holland and was sent to this forum by Wally. I got some problems with the installation of my G50 transmission in a 1956 oval window. Now You al think of course you got problems with that

To the point,
I was planned to use original steel bug IRS arms. But now I’m putting al the parts together using the type 1 944 driveshaft’s it seems that the shafts are to long.
Has anyone got any tips how to solve the problem?
1 solution came from Wally, he told me I could use the aluminum 944 arms.
But I really want to keep the wheels as close to each other as possible.

Does anyone knows if there are some shorter original Porsche, VW ore whatever which manufacturer it is, driveshaft’s available?

Thanks, Nick

Excuses for my bad english.
