Question 1974 Standard Beetle vs 1974 Super Beetle

Can I use a complete wiring harness for a 1974 Standard Beetle in a 1974 Super Beetle 1303? I have a 1974 VW Super Beetle 1303. :agree: The wiring from front to rear is FUBARed!!! I have searched all over for complete wiring harness that fits my specific car, I have been unable to find one. I parked next to a 1974 VW Standard yesterday. After talking with the owner and checking out his car, besides the front end body and suspension and glass the two cars are the same. Im thinking I might have to switch fuse boxes to a 74 Sedan fuse box, if the Super fuse box different? I think they are the same. Both cars have the same type tail lights, head lights, etc. Is there any way possible that I can use a 1974 Standard Beetle harness to replace my complete wiring harness. Is there that much difference between the other electrical items ( ie ignition, dash fan, speedo, warning lights, wiper motor, switches etc) that would prevent this wiring harness from working on my car. I would prefer to use a stock wiring harness because I am already pretty familar with it.
Any ideas ? Any suggestions?

Are the fuse blocks in the same place? Check out the diagrams in the back of a Bentley manual. I've rewired a '79 SB using an after market harness from Watsons Streetworks (very good kit) mounted fuse block under back seat. There were a couple of tricky parts with stock wiring diagrams, but worked it out.
