Also helpful for this thread would be listing suspension modifications as future users will then be able to compare wheels in this thread vs. their own mods/plans to determine fitment before purchase.

yes thank sir.

here's our mod

the rims off-set is +38, and it's a 16x7 front and 16x8 Volk Racing GTU rims, my bug is a 1302-S, i used a rear spring from a Honda EG6, and cut the base plate and attach it to the VW strut, then used a 1 inch thick adaptor(which gives it the close clearance to the fenders) with the bolt pattern 4x114.3, you can also re-stud the hub and disk rotor if you preffer that.

my girlfriends ride is a '71 econo bug, the Volk Racing GRC-euro has an off-set of +35, size 16x7.5 on all four, and pcd 4x114.3, the only mod we do is re-stud the hubs and disk rotors then just install the rims on the bug, no more clearance issues on the fenders it fits perfect, the rims are wrapped with 195/50R16 on all four.

hope this helps.

I'm not familiar with the econo bug model, would that be torsion bar front suspension and drum brakes on all four corners?

same as a standard bug with 1200 engine, in other country it is known as a 1200A bug.
