Porsche Boxster IRS Suspension

I found a killer deal on a Porsche Boxster that had an engine fire. All suspension items are in great shape pan components etc. Does anyone know if a Porsche Boxster IRS trailing arms brakes etc can be used on a VW Type1 I'm considering trying to use the front suspension items also.
What are your thoughts, will this stuff work? Has anyone ever used these componets on a V-Dub?

It isn't anything you could just bolt on, but I really like the idea, and one of my future thoughts is actually retrofitting an entire Boxter rear end in the back of a bug. You'd need to do some seriously wide fenders though!!!
