My race pics
G'day guys, haven't been here for awhile, been busy modifying the car for this years season. The motor has been upgraded from 1880cc (90.5x73mm) to 2027cc (94x73mm) & a close ratio gearbox. New wheels have also found their way onto the car in the form of 17 x 7.5 inch DTM racing wheels (BBS copy) with 215/45 & 225/45 Falkan ST115 street tyres.
I've also got a complete new braking system with cross drilled rotors up front with new type4 calipers, Ford calpers out back with DBA rotors which also have been cross drilled. The weekend was my first run out & with a wheel alignment or playing with tyre pressures I took 2 seconds off my previous best time. There can only be faster times in the car yet! regards Jak Rizzo Downunder http://www.thesamba.com/vw/gallery/i...hoto+83331.jpg http://www.thesamba.com/vw/gallery/i...hoto+83328.jpg |

Thanks for the comments guys.
The cage is aa standard half cage Rob, thats bends with the roofline & bolts just under the rear window. It's great as I can still fit my kids baby seats in the back & I still have my speaker tray under the rear window. regards Jak |

Those wheels look outstanding! Especially buried up under the fenders as you are taking that turn!
Good luck and happy racing with the new improvements! |
