WOW, that looks great!

Gonna have it done for the meeting?

How did the body guy put the roof in? Is it seamed right at the crease in the roof? Or did he peal back the rain gutter?

No, Im not gonna have it ready for the meeting

It should be ready for Bug Jam though

As far as the roof goes, he originally planned to seam it in at the rain gutter, but because I used a roof section from a 1303 it ended up not having exactly the same roof crease down the side.
So in order to keep the creas the same, he had to graft it in at the crease instead of at the rain gutter. You can even tell at all.

Looks good and that color is lighter than mine. The roof came out nice as well. Nice to see it put all back together. Did you go with black or body colored trim?

I shaved the body molding and blacked out the window chrome.

Opps, I more meant the handles and headlamp rings (and bumpers too). I remember your poll post about removing the body trim. Oh, and did you keep the factory windows? Guess all of this would be answered soon with the finished pictures.

Vincent, the color is 2003 PT Cruiser Electric Blue Pearl (Yes there is red pearl in the mix). Good eye!

James, the door handles, headlamp rings & bumpers will all be body color. As far as the windows go, I decided to keep the vent windows. I sent all the chrome window bits to the powder coaters. They are now black like rubber.

Very nice color, can't wait to see a type 4 in the back and a nice set of wheels. Won't be long, I guess!

Cheers,
Richard

Richie, thanks for the compliments. But what is wrong with the Boxter wheels I already have?

Big Oops, Sorry, nothing wrong with those. I even wished I had them!
Guess I was a bit distracted by that engine.

Cheers,
Richard
