Adjusting a Convertible top

Hey GL,

I bought a second 79 Cabrio and when I bought it thought it just needed new seals on the top because it did not seal 100% and the windows popped out a little as windows do when rolled up too far. After owning it while I've noticed that the passenger side latch does not reach the windscreen frame. This leaves a gap that is visible inside and outside under the bead of the top. The driver's side reaches the frame just fine. Is there any adjustment point in the top? I'm beginning to think that the top is put on crooked

Top gap unlatched

Top gap latched. The top latch guide is in front of it's slot and can not reach far enough

Possible adjustment at allen bolt? Hing of top and body behind rear seat

Drives side windows. Both windows can be made to "fit better" if I manually work the windows under the seals but that puts a lot of pressure on the windows

There's quite a lot of adjustment in the windows, looks like that is most of your problem, it's obvious how it's done if you take your door panels off. Not too sure about the header, you could try adjusting at the back with the frame bolts, how is the gap between the roof seals and the rear windows at the back?

The fit is hard to describe. The rear window fit just looks so strange. I might need to go and take some better/bigger photos
