Where can I buy an Acu Sump?
Hi
Does anyone know where I can buy an Acu Sump? Do they go by any other names? Just in case you call them a different name they a spring loaded cylinder that retains oil presuure after starting the motor, if you have an oil pressure loss due to surge etc the spring inside colapses maintaining oil pressure. Accusump. Here in the states you can use eBay, PegasusAutoRacing.com, hrpworld.com or a Google search for someone down under. They work great. How about some STI - 1303 pictures. I'm working to get everything together on one too.
Thanks, Randy

Hi
Thanks for that. I looked at one on an old touring car, Im pretty sure that it didn't need any air presure like the ones on that site do, im sure it only used a huges spring inside. Ive heard that the Subarus have a few big end issues when cornered hard, these units sound like a good idea. The new bug is slowly progressing, I have a bit of a blog going here http://www.clubvw.org.au/steve_carter.htm Im making brackets up now for the centre adjustment on my short torsion bars. Steve

Hi
Did some more checking with my friend with the old touring car. Turns out the unit was from a 2002 BMW racecar, it does have air pressure in it, like the ones people have told me about. On my friends touring car they used a VW washer bottle with 40 PSI in it to supply the air, sounds like a good idea. Steve
