Post 928 GTS brake info REQUIRED

To all the big brake people out there..

I have a 68 karmann cabrio beetle project that i have a full set of 928 GTS rotors and calipers

also some 944s2 front carriers that i wish to fit with a bearing sleeve kit to run porsche bearings...

the question is::

i have the original 928 GTS discs front & rear

will the fronts fit the spindles or will the be too deep and hit the steering/suspension knuckle/ball joints

and will the rear discs fit as 944 style (will be running early 944 ali arms..)

any help would be great (pictures, advice or tech pictures ..)

chris

Hey Chris,

As I said via email, with the MBT front kit the GTS rotors fit, but they are real close to the arms. I have since converted the Manx back to its Volks roots and installed a set of CSP vented fronts. Just did not need the weight of the 928 system without using a big engine. I am using the system on my Super Convert, but using 944T front spindles.

Good luck,

Randy
